Priyanka Chopra’s Debut Movie Was Supposed to be THIS Politician’s Biopic?

The 36-year-old star has raked in honors and accolades as well as appreciation from all corners of the world. We have always admired Priyanka’s inspiring and motivating journey, from earning the Miss World title to being an international super star. Being such a Bollywood superstar, you would have always assumed that Priyanka’s big screen debut was Tamil film Thamizhan (2002) opposite Thalapathy Vijay and that her Bollywood debut film was The Hero: Love Story of a Spy(2003).Au contraire! It will come as a shock, but Priyanka signed her first-ever film in 2000, prior to being crowned Miss World. The filmed was named Good Night Princess and was directed by actor Atlee Brar, who has appeared in films like Apna Desh Paraye Log , Lahu Luhan and Kohram. It was a multi-lingual venture, and was made in both, Hindi and English and was based on the life of Priyanka Gandhi. Pooja Batra and Rahul Dev were also a part of Good Night Princess. In fact, Priyanka started shooting for the film a month before she won the coveted crown, and continued working on the project post victory. However due to a lack of funds with the producers, Priyanka’s Good Night Princess was abandoned.Meanwhile, the actress will be next seen on the big screens in The Sky Is Pink. The plot of the film revolves around a love story of motivational speaker Aisha Chaudhary and her parents. Aisha was diagnosed with pulmonary fibrosis. The movie is sscheduled for an October 11 release.
